Don't give up on Color or Bill Nguyen (yet)

Business Insider spoke with Bill Nguyen about the launch of his new Color app, the failure to tell people not to use it alone, the app's future, and how its not really about sharing pictures after all.

A $41 million investment leads me to believe that Nguyen's future vision of Color could be something that catches on, he just did a pour job rolling it out.  The article also confirms my thoughts of a Google-Wave-like product launch.

Even with the pour reviews and non-intuitive UI, Color has been one of the most popular downloads this past week.  Hopefully a few updates will allow the app's potential to show.  Becoming the founder of "spontaneous social networks" doesn't come easy.

Update:
Fast Company also has a great article describing Color's business model.
